As the population lives longer and survival rates continue to improve, there is an increasing prevalence of individuals in our community who live with heart disease. It has been proven that physical activity is an important component to recovery and to maintaining heart health.
If you are someone living with heart disease, we can provide you with an individualized program of exercise and education designed to help you live a healthier lifestyle and reduce your risk of future heart events.
At Elements, we work with your cardiologist and family physician to develop a program that fits your lifestyle. We provide home-based exercise options as well as programming for the fitness facility of your choice. Nutrition, weight loss and lifestyle counselling will be part of your program as well as education about heart disease and stress management.
Our goal is to increase your ability to manage your own health, to improve overall function and restore muscle strength and endurance, and to reduce the progression of heart disease.
